Valerie Victoria Williams, age 72, passed away on April 14, 2022 in Bountiful, UT.

Born on July 29, 1949 in Contra Costa, CA to Richard Bliss and Ruth Staker. She married Arthur Bruner, her high school sweetheart, on Friday the 13th in September of 1968 and welcomed their son in July 1969; later divorced. On January 30, 1981 she married Craig Williams and spent many great years together until their divorce in 1986.

Val worked at Boeing for 20 years and retired in 2019. She enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and movies, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy; she took them on day excursions for their birthdays and had all the kids over for a New Year’s Eve roundy-round marathon. Val attended every one of her grandchildren’s little league football games, high school sports, cheer, and college softball games. She had an affinity for history and a love for reading and learning. The Superbowl was one of her favorite gatherings, of course always hoping the Green Bay Packers would be there. She was a blast to hang out with. We are grateful for the all the joy and laughter she has brought into our lives. Mom, I hope there are fountains of Vodka in heaven for you.

Survived by: son Mick (Barbara) Bruner, 5 grandchildren Kayla, Mac (Kristine), Lindsay, and Levi Bruner, sister Joyce Edwards and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her parents, brothers David and Doug Edwards, sister Marsha Jass, and her much missed dogs Muscles, Danny, Bonkies and Patton.

Guestbook/Condolences

Mick my heart aches for you and the family on the passing of your mom. So many great times we had on our bowling leagues and working with her. We had a lot of laughs. I still remember singing Happy Birthday to her at work as Elvis. She will be missed. I hope you and the family can find peace and comfort at this very difficult time in the memories and times shared with her. She was a great lady. Love you my brother! May God Bless you and the family.

Val - You were an amazing lady, who always found a way to make us laugh. Watching you and Marsha together was like watching Laverne and Shirley on steroids (The Vodka Twins:)! You touched so many lives in such a special way, and you are going to be dearly missed. I was so grateful when you came to Idaho with the family for Dave's funeral, it really made me feel special! Thank you so much. I hope that you are together with your family that went before you, and all you pups in Heaven - reminiscing with loads of hugs and kisses (and Vodka). Our loss here on Earth - is a Blessing to the Angels and Lord Almighty in Heaven.
I send my regards to the family, and many friends that you have left behind, as I am sure there is a hole blowing through their hearts as they mourn for your loss. You will always be remembered and cherished.
I leave them with an encouraging verse from the Bible - II Corinthians 5:6-8 : (6) So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. (7) For we walk by faith, not by sight. (8) We are confident, yes, well pleased rather - to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Thanks for blessing my life with your smile and laughter - may you rest in peace Ms. Val. God bless!
