Ditmar Gwen Jaenisch, age 50, passed away peacefully in his home on November 1, 2017 in Murray, Utah. He was born on General Conference Sunday, October 1, 1967 to Sieglinde Jaenisch and Klaus Jaenisch. Ditmar grew up in Holladay where he graduated from Skyline High School. Ditmar served a LDS mission in Munich, Germany where he was able to use his native tongue to serve and teach those people he came in contact with.
After Ditmar's mission he met his sweetheart Dianna and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Ditmar had the opportunity to move his family to Massachusetts because he had a feeling that the Lord needed him there to help in building up the kingdom. After landing in Salem, the Boston Temple was announced and Ditmar was thrilled! Ditmar was able to help with many of the church activities around Salem prior to the temple dedication and also participate in the open house, thereafter being an ordinance worker in the Boston Temple.
Ditmar graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Ditmar also graduated from Duquesne University on the Camp Hill, Pennsylvania campus with a Master's Degree in Business Leadership and Ethics. Ditmar served and loved the people in Pennsylvania. Ditmar had many LDS church callings and loved to be a missionary to all he came in contact with.
Ditmar was an avid Golfer and loved that time playing with his friends and family. Ditmar also loved playing a good game of pool with his father-in-law. Ditmar loved his girls and the time they had together playing board games, going to Lagoon and Disneyland. Ditmar will be dearly missed by his mother and sister whom he spent a lot of time with as a family. Ditmar lived his life helping and serving all he came in contact with, even when he wasn't feeling his best, he would put that feeling aside and serve, if nothing else he would greet you with a hand shake and ask what he could do for you. Ditmar will be truly missed by so many lives that he has touched.
Ditmar is survived by his wife, Dianna and his four daughters, Daneka (Travis) Cottle, Katarina, Natasha and Kalaya Jaenisch; Parents: Sieglinde Jaenisch and Klaus Jaenisch: Brother: Holger (Kristi) Jaenisch; Sister: Monique Kasimir; three nephews

Services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 6th Ward (725 East 6410 South, Murray, Utah). Friends and family are invited to an evening visitation being held Friday, November 10, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary (2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah) as well as Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the ward prior to services.
