Burke L Hall

1953 ~ 2019

Burke (Pops)(Butch) L Hall, loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, friend and life-long resident of the Salt Lake valley, passed away unexpectedly at home in West Jordan on Thursday January 31, 2019 at the age of 65. He was born in Salt Lake City on May 31, 1953 to Burke and Mary (Lindorff) Hall.

Burke spent his years growing up with his uncle Ralph and aunt Donnie, graduated Granite High School, Class of 1971. After graduation he attended the University Of Utah for structural engineering. In 1975 he began his long career with the Union Pacific Railroad. He married the love his life Rebecca Gee Hall in 1980 after being introduced by his best friend Owen Biddle and his wife Debbie. He retired from the railroad in 2014. After retirement he was able to devote more time to his hobbies, such as shooting, reloading, and spending time with his son Shane, grandson Jeremy, and his pup Tucker.

He joins his loving wife Rebecca Gee Hall, uncle Ralph, aunt Mary, and his parents in death. He is survived here on earth by his son Shane Hall and his wife Traci, of West Jordan; grandson Jeremy Hall, brother Mike Bergener and his wife Connie, of North Ogden; nieces, nephew, and many loved ones that knew him as Pops who will all miss him greatly.

The family asks that in celebration of Burke's life that you wear your favorite pair of jeans and a plaid or flannel shirt. We also ask that you bring your favorite picture or write down your favorite memory or story of Burke to add to a memory book for Shane and his family.

Services will be held Friday the 8th day of February 2019 at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah. Viewing will be held from 10am-12pm with graveside services following immediately after at the mausoleum.
