Heather Lee Ward Clark

1969 ~ 2016

Heather Lee Ward Clark, 47, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 from a sudden illness in Murray, Utah surrounded by family and close friends. She was born September 21, 1969 in Logan, Utah, the oldest child of Charles Owen and Jane Ann Ward of Malad.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Heather attended Malad Elementary and graduated from Malad High School in 1987. She received an associate's degree at Stevens-Heneger College in Provo, Utah. Prior to her death, Heather was Vice-President over Implementation Services for Premier Global, Inc. She traveled extensively for this job, being responsible for several teams throughout the United States and Canada. Her 29-year career in communication technology provided her with opportunities in teaching and training others in the use of technology for adult learning and communication.

In 2004, Heather earned the title of Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Young Careerist finalist for Utah, enabling her to compete at nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She also served as Vice-President and President of the Salt Lake Chapter of BPW and as Utah State BPW Treasurer. As an Individual Development Trainer for BPW/Utah, Heather also conducted leadership workshops and provided speaking engagements throughout the Intermountain West to enhance personal and professional lives.

Heather enjoyed traveling, camping, UTV riding and target shooting with her husband Matt, family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, cooking and jewelry beading. But the time she spent with family was the most important to her. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and the time she spent playing with them and teaching them new skills. Heather loved to spend time at the home of her Shirley grandparents in Fish Haven, Idaho. She and her family spent many happy summers playing on the beach, camping and enjoying the beauty of the valley.

Heather had a great influence on others, encouraging them, teaching them and loving them. She was not discriminatory in who she befriended or helped. She made friends wherever she went and was well thought of by her fellow employees and employers.

She married Scott Wilson on June 25, 1994. They were later divorced. She married Matt Clark on November 20, 2010 in Park City, Utah. They made their home in Sandy, Utah.

She is survived by her husband Matt Clark of Sandy, Utah; parents, Owen and Jane Ann Ward of Malad, Idaho; one sister, Stephanie (Travis) Frisby of Parker, Idaho; and two brothers, Jason (Jaci) Ward of Ucon, Idaho, and Robert Ward of Richmond, Utah; four step-children, Candace (Curtis) Heyman of Phoenix, Arizona, Justin (Julia) Wilson of Orem, Utah, Ashlie (Josh) Pierce of Sandy, Utah and Austin Clark of Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
