Kathleen May Demke Searle

Kathleen May Demke Searle our beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully on February 28, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on May 2, 1943 to Edmund and Myrtle Demke in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from South High School in 1961 and married her high school sweetheart Jack Searle on October 1, 1964. Kathleen was an avid golfer who belonged to the Mountain Dell Ladies Association where she was tournament chairperson for many, many years. She also loved to bowl where she was a member of the Morning Glories League. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to his softball tournaments where she cheered his team on with all the other wives. Kathleen loved to be with her family whether it was camping at Flaming Gorge, going on cruises or flying to Alaska to fish where she had bragging rights for catching the only King Salmon last trip.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Kathy Snelson (Clive), Cory Searle (Torrie), Clint Searle (Kim), Curt Searle (Leah), Chris Searle (Natalie), 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister Pat Jensen, brothers, Kent, Ray, Don and Jack Demke.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4558 South 600 East. Visitations will be held on Friday, March 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate doctors and nurses at the IMC Hospital and the Cascades at Riverwalk.
