Florence O. Harrison Joined her loving husband Steve on the morning of September 16th after spending the past three and a half years in long term care at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City. Florence was born in Logan, Utah Feb. 10, 1919 to Arthur L. Olsen and Leona Bitter Olsen. Florence grew up with three brothers and three sisters in Providence, Utah.

Leo, as she was affectionately known to her immediate family, met Stephen, the love of her life, shortly before the start of World War II. They were married May 16, 1941 in Alhambra, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1943, and together they had three daughters. She and Steve were married almost seventy years when he passed away in February, 2011.

Florence was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithfully served in many callings. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and working on genealogy. Florence was a wonderful homemaker, a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was one of the sweetest ladies and was loved by all who knew her.

Florence was preceded in death by her loving husband, two brothers, (Donald Olsen and Allen Olsen), two sisters (Norma Hansen and Dorothy Ewer), and a granddaughter, Carrie Lynn Carroll. She is survived by her three daughters: Patricia H. Fessenden (Ron), Midvale, Utah; Jane L. Harrison, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Jill Tilton (Rick), Lake Stevens, Washington. She also leaves behind a brother, Arthur Olsen (Helen), St. George, Utah; and sister Afton Londre, Crescent City, California; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Villa for their exceptional and loving care.
