RaNae Halvorsen Adamson

1943 ~ 2015

Our mommy passed away peacefully in the arms of whom she always referred to as her \"miracle babies.\" Prior to marrying our father, Harvey Rae Adamson, who was the love of her life and spouse of 16 years, she was told by Doctors she wasn\t able to have Children, yet we became the most cherished gifts of her life. As her only 2 children; Shandrae Davidson (Rich) and Tracy Joseph Adamson, we will never forget this and will hold it dear to our hearts forever. In her youth, our mother had beautiful blonde hair and eyes that sparkled and gleamed from miles away. She grew up in SLC and went everywhere with her sister Darlene, who shares the same vibrant spirit and clever sense of humor as our mom. Our fondest memories of her come from her ability to find something to laugh at in every situation. There was never a dull moment with her. She was a proud home maker for many years and her home cooked meals were devoured by everyone. Her hard work and laborious efforts at home allowed our father to focus on his Education at the University of Utah where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with multiple degrees, including a Master's Degree. Prior to this, she was considered one of the most competent and well liked teachers at her favorite job at the Neighborhood House. Along with her nurturing ways, she also had a shrewdness about her that allowed her to endure any challenge or hardship she was faced with in life. She could see through anyone and anything. She also appreciated the simple things in life; her Kitty - Mow Mow, owls, Aspen trees, trips to the Great Salt Lake, and our secret family camping spots. Most of all we will remember her for her quick witted nature and the sly tricks and pranks she would play on friends and family, although it was next to impossible to ever trick her back. In addition to those already mentioned, she is also survived by her siblings Jack and Donna Halvorsen, granddaughters Lauren and Annabelle, as well as many generous nieces and nephews who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edna Halvorsen, her brother Ron, twin sisters Lois and Lorraine, sister in law Margene, and her blue eyed Grandson she called her angel baby, Grizzley Gage Adamson ( Son of Tracy). A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, SLC UT this Friday, January 16th at 1 PM. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM after which she will be laid to rest at the beautiful Halvorsen family plot in the SLC cemetery. We love you mommy.
