1938 ~ 2014

George Lee Rogerspassed away surrounded by his children on November 29th, 2014 at 2:30pm.

George was born June 9, 1938to Maudie Lee Watson and Gerald Wilbert Rogersin Colorado Springs, Colorado. His childhood and youth were spent in Castle Rock, Colorado.

In October 1957 Georgewas baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, while serving in the Navy.He was married to Mildred Pugh on August 27, 1965, and together they had 8 children.

George\s life work was to reveal what he called \"The Missing Piece in Education.\" He was deeply concerned that we too often teach kids what to think, but not how to think.Through his company ChoiceSkills, George shared with teachers and parents how to integrate \"Character-based Learning\" activities, stories, and questions into any subject, so kids would gain the most important skill of knowing how to recognize a good choice or idea from a bad one. He identified 5 questions you can ask of any choice or idea to identify if it will bring you lasting happiness or not.

George\s joy was to live those principles while raising his children, spending time with his grandchildren, and through giving selfless church service.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Denise Rogers.

He is survived by his brother Roy Rogers [Jan], his wife Millie, and his children Scott [Michelle], Craig [Monica], Rebecca [Cory], Gerald [Jana Stout], Clint [Mignon], Marie [Josh], Jonathan [Katelin], plus 25 grandchildren.

He was an inspiration for many and touched the lives of all who met him.HIs legacy will carry on because of the love he shared, through his children, as well his devoted life-long work for all children, their parents and teachers.

He loved so purely and will be missed dearly.
