Beecher Dan Adams

1925 ~ 2019

BEECHER DAN ADAMS (94) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 14th, 2019 anxious to be with the love of his life on Valentine's Day. He was born February 8, 1925 in Layton, Utah. He was the son of Daniel Hays and Mary Frasier Adams. He had two older sisters, Helen Brown and Virginia Winegar. He was educated at Davis High School and at the University of Utah where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. While attending the "U", he met and married Marilyn Jeanne Price in 1948. They were married for 57 years. He is the father of four children, 20 grandchildren, and 40 great grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father and a very active and supportive grandfather. He was the grandkids greatest fan at their football and basketball games, tennis tournaments, and ballet performances, cheering them on and coaching from the sidelines. He also coached them in other things like loving life, being honest and loyal, working hard, and loving people. There were no strangers in Beech\s world. He extended his hand and heart to others from all walks of life. Helping people was a way of life for Beech. His love for the poor in spirit and the down trodden led him to feel great compassion and concern for his fellowman.

Beech loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, boating, flying, and farming were favorite hobbies. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in World War II as a pilot. He developed a great love of flying and continued his flying activities throughout his life.

He served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Young Men President, in the High Priest Group Leadership, as a stake missionary, and for over forty years as Priest Quorum and Explorer adviser to the young men. He has touched the lives of many boys over the years because of his great love for them. He taught them outdoor skills such as camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, and horseback riding, but most importantly, he taught them about true friendship and love. He was their mentor, friend, and hero. He also coached Little League baseball and loved his association with the younger leagues.

Friends were an extended part of his family and he kept in touch with them on a regular basis. Some friendships even reach as far back as grade school, high school, Air Corp, and fraternity years. Beech had a great sense of humor and left people loving him and his personable manner. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends for his stories and songs.

Beech was owner and operator of Beech Adams Incorporated from 1950 - 2000. He was active in real estate as a land owner and developer in the Layton, Utah area.
