Mildred P. Hunter

1917 ~ 2016

Mildred Edna Porter Hunter was born on July 29, 1917 in Porterville, Utah in her aunt's home to John Riley and Maude Felton Porter. She attended school in Porterville and Salt Lake City, graduating from East High School. She attended the University of Utah and BYU as well as LDS Business College. She worked for several local businesses, a defense plant, which manufactured radar tubes for the Armed Services during WWII, and retired after 30 years of service as an executive secretary for the U.S. Treasury Dept., in 1977.

Mille married Donald Thomas Hunter in the Salt Lake Temple in 1947. Millie and Donald traveled extensively in the United States and many foreign countries, including two "round the world" trips. Donald passed away in 2003. For the past 3 Ω years Millie has resided at Highland Cove in Salt Lake City.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 am, prior to the services at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple.
