Wayne Timothy Smith

Wayne Timothy Smith, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 19, 1954, to Woodrow Smith and Vounes (Black) Smith. He was incredibly kind and brought a gentle warmth to any room he was in. He loved spending time with his family and always looked for ways to brighten their day.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carla J. Smith; his parents; sister, Karen Smith; and brothers, Dennis Smith and Mark J. Smith. He is survived by his son, Klinton (Mayumi) Smith; grandchildren, Honoka and Haruto; siblings, Linda (Tracy) Petersen, David Smith, and Kirk (Sandy) Smith; sister-in-law, Pam Smith (Mark); and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Wayne and Carla's honor on September 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT. Their warmth and love will be deeply missed.
