Robert Anthony Theodorson

1926 ~ 2018

Robert "Bob" Anthony Theodorson passed away on May 1, 2018. Bob lived a wonderful and full life and will be missed by those who knew him.

Bob was born on December 26, 1926 to Achilles George Theodorson and Anna Debos Theodorson. He was one of four children and grew up in New York City, New York. He graduated from Bayside High School in Queens and then later joined the Army at the age of 18. After spending some time serving in the military he later went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry.

Bob loved the outdoors and spent many summers as a Leader with the Boy Scouts of America. Later in his life, while living in Utah, he spent many hours cleaning up rest stops all along the Cottonwood Canyons and other places along the Wasatch Front with hundreds of youth. He had a passion for the forests and mountains and had been a part of a rescue team. He received many thanks for the service he rendered to the community.

One of Bob's greatest passions was that of ballroom dance. He was an instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in New York and later enjoyed dancing at the Murray Art Center. Even when he was not able to instruct anymore, he still regularly visited the dance hall to enjoy a nice dance.

Bob is survived by his two sisters, Rosalie Biundage and Ann Florio. He is preceded in death by his two parents, and his brother George Achilles Theodorson.

Many thanks are given to Alta View Assisted Living and Alta View Memory Care for all of the compassionate service that was given to Bob.

A graveside service will be held in his honor on Friday, May 11 at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, UT) at 3:30pm.
