Wilhelmina “Willow” Johanna Grommen was born on May 1, 1932. She was raised in Helden, Holland with her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Wilhelmina met Wilhelmus Houtappels and they got married on May 26, 1952, and she took the name Wilhelmina Houtappels. Their first two daughters were born in Holland. They immigrated to Ottowa, Canada in 1958, and had their third daughter there. After 6 years in Canada, they moved to California. They had their final three daughters while living in Santa Fe Springs, California. She lost her husband in 1990, and later moved to Herriman, Utah in 2006.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to classic country music, and eating Dutch treats.
Wihelmina Houtappels passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 91 years old. She leaves behind a brother, 5 daughters, 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

Mama, you will be missed by so many! You were like a mom to me, I wish I could have visited you before you passed away. I will always love you, and I have many fond memories of my childhood with you, Melissa, and her sisters. I know it will be a special day in heaven to see you and Melissa again.
