William "Bill" Harper Stoneman, Jr.

1952 ~ 2024

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He passed away in his sleep the morning of February 8th, 2024, at 71 years old.

Bill was born to Jamesina Bannatyne and William Harper Stoneman on May 28th, 1952, in his beloved Avenues in Salt Lake City. He had many fond memories of the family grocery store with his friends and family. He loved to play tennis and to go skiing with his many friends.

A handyman at heart, Bill taught his kids and grandkids many practical things, such as house and auto maintenance. He was always willing to give counsel when anyone needed it.

Bill had great love for his family and the Lord. He always wanted to serve where he was called, like his missions in Kentucky-Tennessee and Nauvoo. He served the Lord as a member of the bishopric, ward clerk, high priest group leader, young men president, and primary teacher to his wonderful church kids.

His family meant everything to him. Bill always loved when they came to visit or when he visited them. He enjoyed taking videos and pictures of his children and grandchildren throughout their lives.

He is survived by his wife Debra, his children Beth Hubler, William Stoneman, Robbie (Julie) Stoneman, Sandy Malone, Tim (Ayrica) Stoneman, and Daniel Stoneman, his grandchildren Ross Stoneman, Lily (Austin) Dutson, Millie Hubler, Nate Stoneman, Jayden Malone, Sawyer and Gigi Stoneman, his siblings Catherine, John (Deb), Mary, and Ruth Stoneman. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Allen, and nephew Jordan.

We’ll miss you Papa. We love you.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 16th, from 6-8 PM at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. We are so sorry, Debbie for your loss. We did not know that Bill's health was so bad when we saw you at my Dad's funeral. Thank you again for coming to the funeral. I believe we will be able to go to Bill's funeral also. I'm glad you have many children and grandchildren to help you through this sad time. I know you will be able to be with Bill again someday. Sorry it will probably be quite a few years for you. He really died too young. We love you
