William Blaine Clayton, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home in West Valley City, UT.

William (Bill) was born December 7, 1979, in Provo, UT where his father was attending school. William loved the outdoors, and he loved to camp and hike. As a young man, he was an accomplished skateboarder. Later he loved to snowboard and mountain bike. He was a talented artist, and he loved to play the guitar. William loved people, and they loved him back. Bill was fiercely loyal to his family. He has many friends in the recovery community. William was a hard worker, and he was an expert commercial and residential painter, always valued by his employers. Bill was the favorite uncle of all of his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we take great comfort in knowing he is in the arms of his Savior and those who have preceded him. To know Bill was to love him, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

William is survived by his mother, Janice Kaye Larsen Clayton, and father, Blaine Allen Clayton; as well as four siblings: Joshua Aaron Clayton (Amie Bingham Clayton), Melissa Joy Gibson (Joshua William Gibson), Michael Joseph Clayton (Katherine Anne Muir Clayton), and Christopher John Clayton (Jillene Stephanie Clayton); nieces Eloise Amie Clayton, Codi Elle Gibson, Emma June Clayton, Penelope Joy Clayton, and Alexandra Elizabeth Gibson; nephews Connor James Trent, Zacory Edward Taylor Trent, Joshua Aaron Clayton II, Jonathan Jordan Moyer, David Blaine Clayton, Hayden Clayton Eastlack Moyer, Maxwell Scott Clayton, Ezekiel Allen Clayton, Gabriel Benjamin Clayton, Gideon William Clayton, Matthias Sherwood Clayton, and Benjamin Logan Gibson. Preceded in death by his grandparents, John T. Larsen, Lueta Van Orden Larsen, Vaughn Allen Clayton and Marjory Patrecia Clayton; as well as his aunt, Patrecia Anne Egan; uncles Jay T. Larsen, Douglas Jay Clayton, and Ronald Vaughn Clayton; and cousins, Patric Ronald Clayton and Merritt Clayton Egan.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ chapel, 10975 South Prescott Drive, Sandy, UT. There will be a viewing from 12:00-12:45 PM, and Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S. Memory Lane, Holladay, UT
