1956 ~ 2025
On September 12, 2025, at the age of 69, William Charles Dixon (“Billy”), of Spanish Fork, Utah, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father.
Billy was born on August 6, 1956, in Victoria, Texas, to Billy Virgil Dixon and Evelyn Smith Dixon. Because his father was an Air Force pilot, the family moved frequently, every two years, a lifestyle Billy embraced with enthusiasm. Adventurous by nature, he loved speed and excitement—whether on a motorcycle, skiing downhill, or soaring on a hang glider. Though he faced more than his share of accidents and close calls, Billy always found a way to persevere.
After graduating high school, Billy followed in his father’s footsteps by serving in the U.S. Army, where he trained as a telephone lineman and never hesitated to climb the tallest poles. Following his service, he endured a serious motorcycle accident that left lasting challenges, yet he continued to move forward with determination. He later earned a computer technician degree from American River College and operated his own computer repair business.
One of Billy’s greatest joys was his daughter, Amanda, from his first marriage to Lori Moulton. They shared his striking blue eyes and dimples, and he treasured the time he spent cheering her on as she roller skated.
On October 15, 2004, Billy married the love of his life, Toni Rachel Lehner. Together, they were sealed in the Sacramento California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on February 25, 2012. Billy and Toni shared a deep love of concerts, movies, temple worship, and family time, especially with Amanda. They delighted in watching Star Trek together, enjoyed classic westerns—particularly Gunsmoke—and often listened to audiobooks on military history. Their home was also blessed by the loyal companionship of their beloved dog, Thor.
The couple spent most of their marriage in Sacramento, California, before moving to Spanish Fork, Utah, in 2024 following Toni’s retirement.
A devoted and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Billy found joy in the gospel of Jesus Christ, in listening to scriptures, and in attending the temple. Despite facing significant health challenges—including a major stroke in 2004—he remained cheerful, kind, and full of humor. Billy will be remembered for his warmth, acceptance of others, love of life, and charitable heart.
Billy is survived by his wife, Toni Lehner Dixon; his daughter, Amanda Dawn Dixon; and his siblings, Michael (Deidre) Dixon, Catherine (Steven) Lund, James (Kieu) Dixon, and Steven Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Virgil Dixon and Evelyn Smith Dixon.
A private memorial service will be held in Spanish Fork, Utah, on September 20, 2025, followed by a graveside service and burial at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.
