William Joseph Ray Patton, lovingly known as “Joey,” passed away on March 21, 2026, in Tennessee at the age of 47.
Joey was born on July 16, 1978, in Salt Lake City. He was the beloved son of Sara Patton, Steve Monfredi, and Bill and Sherri Lindstrom. He was also deeply loved by his step-parents, Mehrdad Shafiee and Anthony Archuletta. Joey is survived by his siblings, Soheila Shafiee and Colby Burleson, along with many family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Joey was preceded in death by Olive May Patton, Odis Patton, Ray Patton, Paul Butterfield, and Calley Nagel.
Joey was known for his contagious laugh and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He had a gentle soul and a natural gift for making people smile. He loved being outdoors, riding motorcycles, listening to good music, and spending time with the people he cared about most.
One of Joey’s greatest passions was cooking and sharing good food with family. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, especially in the special bond he shared with his mother. A cherished memory is from when Joey was just 10 years old—after saving up his own money, he told his mom, “Wear your red shirt, Mom,” and took her out to dinner at Red Lobster.
Joey will be remembered for his gentle heart, his humor, and his contagious laughter. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will live on in all who loved him.
A viewing for family will be held at Larkin Mortuary on Thursday, April 1st, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
