Reverie Joy Hodgdon

2018 ~ 2018

October 25th, 2018 at 6:30 pm, our little princess, Reverie Joy Hodgdon, passed away. She was born just a week before on October 18th and gave us her all for seven days. Not nearly enough but we feel blessed by every minute of her life.

Reverie means \"a state of being pleasantly lost in one\s thoughts; a daydream\". That\s what she was- a daydream. Her beautiful and strong soul was only on this earth for a short time, but she touched the hearts of so many.You\ll always be mommy and daddy\s little daydream.

She began changing lives the minute we knew she existed and as she grew she continued to touch our lives and hearts. She was prayed for, thought about, dreamed about, planned for, excited about and patiently awaited by so many people. Reverie changed hearts and minds and opened our eyes to all the love in the world.

Little Rev hid her physical problems for a long time and only shortly before her birth did we learn of the challenges that lay ahead. In the end, this world was just too much for her fragile little body and perfect spirit. She had done her work and gave us all gifts we never imagined. She lived to teach us from moment number one. Now we will live for her and keep her love alive.

Reverie is survived by her dad and mom, Kaelan Charles Hodgdon and Alison Jasmine Hodgdon, her grandparents, Ken and Peggy Hodgdon and Brian and Kathleen Speir. A few honorary grandparents, uncles and aunts and many, many more who loved her. She was preceded in death by sibling twins who passed before birth.

A visitation and graveside service will be held for Reverie on Saturday, Nov. 3rd beginning at 1:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, 10600 S in Sandy, Utah. After the visitation she will be laid to rest at Larkin Sunset Gardens with her Great Grandma, Joy Green Olson, her namesake.

We are so grateful for the love and care Reverie received from the doctors and nurses at Primary Children's NICU. They are truly angels without wings.
