Heidi Lynne Tew Bayless

1964 ~ 2013

Heidi Lynne Tew Berntson McCulloch Bayless, born September 13th, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away Saturday, October 5th after a courageous battle against stage-four breast cancer. She had been battling since early April of 2011 and until her last breath she hadn't given up her strength and courage.

Her remarkable determination even brought her to remission for an entire year and even when the cancer returned in her liver, it couldn't dampen her spirits.

Heidi had always been full of vitality and had a bright, magnetic personality with her first love in life being horses. The first horse she raised from birth, Pippin, (who passed just a couple years ago) was a life long friend and companion through many trials Heidi faced. She was even considered her eldest daughter.

Even in the darkest of times, Heidi always remained positive. She was selfless, kind, thoughtful, and full of spunk. She wasn't' afraid to do what she wanted and would fight stringently for what she believed in.

She was a wonderful mother to two daughters Kalie and Jessica, who she always loved and felt extremely proud of.

Heidi followed her passion and was an assistant veterinarian for several years before becoming a skilled trademark paralegal. She retired at the age of 48 to spend more time with her beloved girls and animals.
