Melba Janet James Marble Morrison, age 81,passed awaypeacefullyon July 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.She was bornon April 8, 1933,in Phoenix, Arizona to George Heber James and Norma Morris. She married the love of her life, Reed Elggren Morrison on November 9, 1990 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Janet lived life to its fullest and was loved by all who knew her. She liked to paint sceneries, do calligraphy, cook tamales and grandpa's pozole, walk in the woods and travel. During kidneydialysisshe enjoyed viewing TV news and cooking shows.She travelled to England, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Sweden. She loved the Lord and her church. She served in numerous church callings including ward chorister, Primary teacher and a mission to the Church Family History Library.

She is predeceased by her first husband Norman D. Marble; infant sister, Jacalyn Sue James; sons Allyn Dean Marble, Teryl Brett Marble and Kevin James Marble. She was the first of seven children. She is survived by her three children: Danyl Lynn Marble (Janna), Robin Scott Marble (Mary) and Colin Wayne Marble; three step-children: Steve Morrison, Denny Morrison (Susan) and Patti Jennings (Jerry); daughter-in-laws Marleen Marble and Lena Nyberg Marble; 26 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Heber James (Quola); sisters, Judith Gayle Ronnow, Joyce Elaine Williams (Gene), Jeanne Ann Despain (Allan) and Josephine Foutz (Don); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at IMC Hospital and CareSource Hospice for their extreme kindness and hospitality.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the MidvaleEast4thWard Chapel, 87 E. 7100 S. Midvale. Friends may visit the family at a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy and on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
