Sela Leolani Latu

1978 ~ 2019

Our beautiful, loving, and vivacious daughter, sister, aunt and wife has returned home to our Heavenly Father as of Friday, August 16th, 2019 at the vibrant age of 40.

Sela Leolani Latu was born in Kahuku, Hawaii, daughter of Paea He lotu Tulimafua and the late Iki Talaiasi Tulimafua. Sela was married and sealed to the love of her life, her eternal companion, Sateki Malani Latu, in the Salt Lake Temple, December 13th, 2008. She served a full-time mission as Hermana Tulimafua for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the McAllen Texas Mission, Spanish Speaking. Among her many accomplishments, she was a devoted daughter of our Father in Heaven and fulfilled many church callings from Relief Society President, President of the Young Women, Primary Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and various callings in between.

Sela is survived by her mother, Paea, her husband, Sateki, her brother, Viliami (Anya) Tulimafua, niece Paea Helotu-Leolani Tulimafua, as well as many aunties, uncles, and cousins. She had a smile that could light up a room and laugh that was contagious. Known as "Miss Aloha" to her family, she made friends easily and was the kind of person you wanted as your friend forever. The loss of Sela was hard-hitting and sudden. She will be missed by all her loved ones tremendously; however, we know she was welcomed with open arms by those who have been waiting patiently on the other side of the veil for her.
