Arthur "Art" McDonald Chandler, age 55, passed away July 8, 2015 in Salt Lake City, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. He was born October 22, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to Arthur Harper and Naomi Williams.
Art worked for the City of Midvale as a project manager since 2007. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and was a season ticket holder for ten years. He loved to read and study history. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in Aurora, CO where he played on the football team. He continued to play semi pro after high school. He served in the Marine Corps for six years and Air Force Reserve for nine years.
Art was a tender soul who was willing to help anyone in need. In return he was loved dearly by those around him. He always had a smile and never complained even throughout his difficult illness. No one had a bigger heart full of love than Art did.
Survivors include his fiancée Katarina Carlin, his mother; Naomi Williams, daughter; Misha Chandler; brother; Jason Chandler, grandson; Drayson Anderson, several aunts and uncles and four stepsons.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
