Ken L. Erickson passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2018, just one month shy of his 91st birthday. Born in Salt Lake City to Ralph and Florence Erickson on May 16, 1927, Ken graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah. He served in the US Navy the latter part of World War II and was proud of his country and the opportunity to serve.

Working at Hibb's Clothing Co. started a 40+ yr. career as a manufacturer's rep in the men's clothing industry. He travelled extensively through 6 states, driving thousands and thousands of miles and was an impeccable dresser.

Ken married Nancy Warren in October 1948 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Together they have 5 children: Sydney (Mike) Maudsley, Peggy (Eric) Schanz, Warren (DA) Erickson, Kay (Dave) Lundquist, Holly (Phil) Trapp, and 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was a devoted father and provider and taught us the values he lived of hard work, thrift and honesty. Always loving to strike up a conversation, he made friends easily wherever he went. Ken enjoyed gardening, skiing, golf, traveling with family and friends, and making homemade ice cream. He loved jazz music and sang in the Swanee Singers male chorus for several years. As a faithful member of the church, he and Nancy enjoyed serving in the temple.

He is joining his parents, sisters Carol Erickson and Phyllis Walker, and brother Cal Erickson. He is survived by his sister Linda Lewis and sister-in-law Myrna Erickson. The family expresses thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice and Home Care for their support during this past week.
