Garry DeMille Bulow

1932 ~ 2016

Garry DeMille Bulow, loving husband, father and grandfather was able to rest on July 15, 2016. After a long battle with Alzheimer\s, he was a fighter until the end. A dedicated father and Pa, he was always there, attending games, recitals and important life events. Sunday dinners were special. You knew you were fiercely loved by him both by words and in action.His true joy and purpose was service.

Born in Provo, UT on August 13, 1932 to Bill and Zenda Bulow, his younger years were spent there where he graduated from Provo High. He had an adventurous life. He spoke often of his youth as a talented athlete: boxing, softball, basketball, to name a few, though he most enjoyed getting into trouble with his brother Ray.He proudly served in the Navy on the Yorktown.

In 1970, Garry married the love of his life and together they enjoyed many things including camping, travel, the golf group and grandchildren.Known for his hand-whistle, martini-days,fervent love for BYU, singing Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel on a Sunday morning while frying up scones and, most of all, his dedication of pure service and unconditional love of his family and friends. Dad, we will miss you.

Garry is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Sharon Barta Bulow, his mother. Zenda, father Bill, brother Ray and sister Melvina. Survived by his children Terry, Val (Colleen), Christi Bulow, Cheri (Cy) Waldron, Lori (Mark) Simpson. Grandchildren Jan, Jamie, Alaura, Chris, Mikaela, Nicolas, Kylie, Lexi and Zack.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South).
