Jerry Earl Chapman passed away with his family at his side on August 2, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry was the son of Stan and Marge Chapman. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 8, 1952. He grew up in Cottonwood Heights and graduated from Brighton High School. He was a proud member of the Utah National Guard. Jerry spent years working in the heating and air conditioning industry and selling real estate for Chapman-Richards.
He was a big reader. Jerry played the guitar and had a great love of music. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, skiing and golfing.
Jerry leaves behind his sister Judy Asher, his brother Scott Chapman (Judy) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A service to honor Jerry's life will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 11:00 am, with a visitation to be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the services in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
