Corey Leander Taylor departed his earthly home on January 18, 2018 surrounded by family due to complications during open heart surgery in Seattle, Washington.
Corey was born on April 9, 1989 to Ernest and Christine Taylor. He was born with a congenital heart defect that created many challenges and obstacles in his short life. Corey was a man of great strength and determination and defied the odds that doctors gave him as a child. When he had every reason to give up, he pushed forward and endured to the end. Corey attended Logan High School and graduated in 2007, he continued on in his education and received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Networking from Stevens-Henager College in 2014. Corey had recently started a new job at Dell Technologies in 2017 that he thoroughly enjoyed.
Corey met the love of his life, Carli Burningham in January 2013 right when she needed him the most and they shared an immense love for one another. They married in the Ogden, Utah LDS temple on August 11, 2015.
Corey loved all things electronic and enjoyed working on cars, computers and playing video games. He had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and was a friend to all.
He was welcomed into heaven by his mother Christine Taylor, Carli\s mother,Sharla Burningham, niece Maddison Burningham, fraternal grandparents Joseph and Marva Taylor, great maternal grandparents Anthony and Louise Thomas.
Corey is survived by his wife Carli Taylor, father Ernest Taylor, sisters Katie (Tommy) Lee, and Alissa Taylor, grandmother Eva (Dennis) Johnson, several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who he made an incredible impact on in his short life.
Funeral services will be held onSaturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 PMat Larkin Sunset Gardens1910 East Dimple Dell Road(10600 South) in Sandy, Utah with a viewing from12:00-1:30 PM.A viewing will also be heldFridayevening from6:00-8:00 PMat Myers Mortuary,205 South 100 Eastin Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy.
