David R. Hensler

1946 ~ 2013

Beloved husband, father and friend David Roger Hensler, age 67 passed from this earth Wednesday, November 14, 2013. Born July 11, 1946 to Roger Richard Hensler and Alice Swensen Hensler in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dave attended Granite and Skyline High schools, and later Trade Technical College. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 32 years and retired in 2011. In 1981 he received the \"Outstanding Apprentice\" award for the entire Union Pacific Company.

Dave enjoyed wildlife of every kind, the outdoors, and loved fishing, particularly the Columbia River in Oregon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Dana Nielson Hensler, two loving sons, Kelly Hensler and Billy Hensler (Allison),grandchildren Zachary (Amanda), Cody, Tyson, Mariah and Lindsey (Kasey); 2 great-grandchildren Zaiden and Axel; sisters and brother-in-law whom he loved dearly, JoAnn, Camille, Sandra, Pete and Janel, and cousins Marlene, Carol, Paul and Barry.
