Wesley Lee Withers, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away May 21, 2016 in Orem, Utah.
Wesley was born October 5, 1921 in Hibbard, Idaho to Fredrick Richard Withers and Lucy Lee Withers. He married the love of his life, Shirley LeFevre, on May 29, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 29, 1948. Together Wesley and Shirley raised six children: Fred (Lupe) Withers, Elaine Stratton, Sharon (Bob) Montgomery, Wendy (Bill) Underwood, Mark (Michelle) Withers, and Mary Anne (Doug) Balfour.
Wesley is survived by his children and their spouses, 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and brother Lee Withers. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter (Baby Shirley Withers), brothers Dale F. Withers, Leland G. Withers, Berle R. Withers, Ellis M. Withers, Bert F. Withers and Keith Withers, and by his sister Verla L. Withers.
Wesley served as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in many capacities. His favorite things included spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, gardening and camping. He left a legacy of a strong work ethic, self-reliance, and living by your word.
We will celebrate the life of Wesley on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd.
