Elaine Rae Hatt Swenson

1934 ~ 2018

Elaine was born in Bluffdale, Utah and was the 6th of 10 children in her family, and the youngest twin (Edith) by just minutes. Later her family moved up to Bingham Canyon where she graduated from the old Bingham High School. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. She worked at many different jobs and used to say that she was a jack of all trades, but a master of none.

After a bad marriage and some time being single, she finally met Brian, the man of her dreams, and they were married for over 43 years. She was finally happy and secure in her life.

One of her biggest hobbies was knitting. Growing up her wish was to have a big family. She only had one son, Michael, but she took great joy in being a second mom to many of her nieces and nephews. She would end up with a big family in a different way. Her biggest joy was being a grandmother, where she would go on to help raise and spoil her grandchildren. She enjoyed going on vacations with them and going to their school activities. Life would continue to be wonderful when she became a great-grandmother.

A very special thank you goes out to one of her nieces, Becky Montoya. There is no way her family could ever repay the tireless time that she spent caring for our mother. Heaven has a very special place for Angels like you!
