Marylin Kay Cooke

Marylin Kay Cooke, age 55, passed away October 6, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born May 4, 1960 in Chattahoochee, Georgia, to James Rodriguez and Mary Rose Wright and married David Matthew Cooke on September 3, 1993 in Salt Lake City.

Marylin had a deep passion for crocheting dresses and blankets for those whom she loved. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. Her favorite calling was serving as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. She had a deep love for her Savior, with whom she had a personal relationship. She also had a deep love and joy for her family and friends.

Marylin is survived by her husband David, her four children, Katrina Aamodt (Robert), Brandon Cooley (Margaret), Brittaney, and Andrew, 1 grandchild Morgan Aamodt, sisters Christine Beard, Teresa Stover (Mike), brother Charlie (Yvette), and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Marylin was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary, and her brother Russ.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake 29th Ward, 1148 W 500 N, Salt Lake City, Utah.
