Mathew Thomas Ranson

July 12, 1924 ‚ December 16, 2014

Our loving father, our hero, our best friend, left his earthly existence on December 16, 2014 to join the love of his life in a heavenly dance. Mathew \"Matt\" Thomas Ranson, 90 years old, was born in Ogden, Utah on July 12, 1924 to Matthew and Elizabeth Ranson. He is survived by his loving children: Larry Pugh, Matt (Betty) Ranson, Margie (Leland) Lang, Bill (Mary Ellen) Ranson, Linda Webb, Tom (Debbi) Ranson, Karen (Bill) Johnson and Mike (Tammy) Ranson. The absolute love of his life, Florence \"Mickey\" Ranson, his son Ken (Linda) Ladd, and his beautiful daughter-in-law Janet Pugh proceeded him in death. Matt has multiple grand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great grand≠children that enriched his life greatly. Matt was a true American hero, having served in World War II with the 771st Tank Battalion, 4th Infantry Division at the Battle of the Bulge. Matt continued to serve others his entire life having worked for Kennecott Copper for 32 years, as well as Public Storage and West Valley City Parks until he was into his 70\s. Matt was the kind of man that you judged all other men by; raising his family and sharing his life with all those around him in a dignified and loving manner. Dad will be greatly missed by all, but we are celebrating that Mom and Dad are dancing in heaven now. The family wishes to thank the Veteran\s Administration and Community Nursing Services for all their compassionate care.
