Shelley Soulier Forman

1953 ~ 2019

Shelley Soulier Forman, greatly loved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher passed away at the age of 65 on May 15, 2019. She was born to Wesley and Lucille Soulier in Salt Lake City, Utah and was sealed to her eternal mate Glen Leslie Forman in the Salt Lake Temple on March 24, 1977.

The crowning achievement of her life was raising five wonderful children as a stay-at-home mother. She taught her children how to love and serve by her shining example. Shelley is the very heart and soul of her family. Family is everything to Shelley.

She regularly threw unbelievable parties for her children, their spouses, and 18 grandchildren. She focused on creating many incredible family memories, making every holiday an over-the-top fun celebration. She was an amazing cook and had a talent for baking mouth-watering cinnamon rolls and legendary gingerbread houses made from scratch every year. All of her tireless efforts have created close family bonds that will be her lasting legacy.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shelley served in many callings and especially loved working in primary where she had a natural ability for leading singing time. She showed her Christlike love to every child she worked with and went out of her way to reach those who may have felt excluded.

Shelley loves children and returned to teaching school when her children were older. She was an outstanding teacher for more than twenty-five years and devoted endless amounts of time and energy to her students, making each child feel loved and accepted. She has a gift for noticing those who struggle and roots for the underdog. In 2018, she received the honor of Teacher of the Year at Midas Creek Elementary.

Though Shelley was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, she successfully remained cancer free until this past year. She and her family will always be grateful for those who worked closely with her at Utah Cancer Specialists and IMC in Murray.

She is survived by her husband Glen, two sons, and three daughters, Doug (Jolynn) Forman, Provo; Emily (Kirt) Lillywhite, Provo; Trisha (David) Bracken, Riverton; Jake (MaryAnn) Forman, West Jordan; and Jaime (Matt) McMurry, Lehi;18 loving grandchildren: Kyri, Tahlia, Elora, Hailey, Sam, Adreana, Garrett, Jack, Wesley, Elise, Tanner, Mason, Henry, Charlie, Tyler, Maggie, Levi, Reed, and four foster grandchildren; two brothers Mike (Barbara) Soulier and Steve (Janet) Soulier.
