Helen Jean "Jerrie" Earl passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2014, in Salt Lake City. Jerrie was born on August 22, 1925, in Iola, Kansas, to Herman Eskie Webber and Ethel May Savage Webber. Jerrie met her companion and love of 70 years, Jack F. Earl, in Inglewood, California, when she boarded a city bus driven by him. Jerrie and her husband owned a residential care center where they cared for many people over the years. In her spare time, she loved to bowl, once bowling a perfect 300. Her favorite calling in the LDS Church was teaching Sunday School to the children. Every day she expressed gratitude for the good life she had and returned the smallest of kindnesses tenfold.
She is survived by her husband Jack F., her son Jack L., 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 3:00 pm, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, following an informal gathering in the mortuary at 2:00 pm.
