Adelia Reeve David

1920 ~ 2014

Adelia Reeve David passed away on May 19, 2014, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on April 26, 1920, in Hinckley, UT to Mary Lyman and John Reeve.

She was a devout Mormon who loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church and above all her Heavenly Father. She was very active in the church, including Relief Society and home teaching. She and her sister, Margaret Soffe, were honored to be called to the mission field where they served in Virginia as venerable ladies in their 80s from August of 2001 through February of 2002.

Adelia was a member and officer with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, joining in October of 1988 with the Ship Brooklyn Camp. She served tirelessly as Camp Captain, Secretary, and with her sister, Emma Olsen, at DUP headquarters. All who knew Adelia recognized her true heart\s desire to serve others. She will be greatly missed.

Survived by her siblings Grant Reeve, Reed L. Reeve, Margaret (Reeve) Soffe; children Erich R. (Carly) David, John R. (Lucille) David, Beverly David, Mary Srb; grandchildren Sharon David, Maureen David, Kevin David, Michael David, Gina (Jason) Meadows, Jason D. (Lindsay) Saul, Natasha Srb, Yuri Srb; great grandchildren Ashley David, Coco Saul, Kingston Saul, Jagger Saul. Preceded in death by her husbands Otto John David and William W. Watts, daughter Adelia David, brother Platte D. Reeve, sister Emma R. Olsen.

Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may attend visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2014, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple.

Interment will be at a later date in a private service at Pajaro Valley Cemetery, Watsonville, CA
