Zeljko Samide

1952 ~ 2022

Zeljko Samide, 70, died Friday, April 08, 2022, at his Sandy home with his family by his side. Zeljko was born April 06, 1952, in Bosanski Petrovac, Bosnia & Herzegovina, to Josip and Franciska Samide.

Zeljko loved Utah winters and would spend his weekends on the slopes at his favorite ski resort, Alta. He taught both of his kids how to ski at an early age and enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to ski as well.

Zeljko married Victoria Safradin on December 30, 1978, in Zenica, Bosnia & Herzegovina. They’ve been married for 43 years. They were blessed with two kids, Nela and Sonja.

Zeljko and his family moved to the United States on October 15, 1998 and chose Utah as their home to enjoy the best snow on earth.

Zejko is survived by his wife Victoria, kids Nela Karajic, and Sonja Mehinovic; four grandkids, Evan, Lara, Nina and Liam, brother Zlatan Samide, sisters-in-law Vera Reimann and Nevenka Cutura, and many, many friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 4pm - 6pm at the Chateau at the Rose Shop, 1910 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT 84092.
