Ruth May Bishop Zaelit

1930 ~ 2017

Our beloved Mom and Grandma left for her trip February 14th, 2017.

Born October 13th, 1930 to Harry William Bishop and Dorthy May Martin Bishop in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from West High School and worked for Salt Lake Hardware and Equitable. She married the love of her life Donald Ray Zaelit March 3rd, 1954 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Steve (Linda) and Matt (Peggy); six angel-pusses and their spouses Andrew (Tammy), Daniel (Michele), Tony (Andree), Zach (Britney), Samantha (Jared) and Jennifer (Sean), 21 great-grandchildren, sisters Elaine (Dan), Kathy (Frank, deceased) and Sandy (Don) and her good friend and nurse, Katrina. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don; son, John; and grandchildren Kelli Ann and Brett.

Ruth was a beautiful, strong example to her friends and family. She had a great love for the beauty of God\s creations and enjoyed taking long nature walks with her family. She was a wonderful artist and enjoyed painting, ceramics, and creating pieces for her home. Ruth was a caretaker to all who knew and loved her. Ruth and her husband served as missionaries in the Escalante Branch for the LDS church. She enjoyed serving her sisters in the Relief Society Presidency and helping with the boys in scouting. We will greatly miss Mom\s wry sense of humor and wonderful friendship.

Many thanks to our friend Katrina and all those at Horizon Hospice Care.
