I have the pleasure of attending second Baptist Church Bible study, and prayer meeting with Miss BERNA. I also enjoyed the occasional meal with Miss BERNA. I know of assuring that she has a deep love of Jesus Christ. She was devoted to prayer for herself, her family, and others. She found deep satisfaction in her evangelism, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with any who will listen. She liked a corn dog from the Arctic Circle, root beer, float, and beautiful clothing. She was both my friend and a sister in Christ. I will miss her, but I will see her again one day.

Always was a kind spirit an caring for her love ones. Never turned her back on no one she knew, always willing to give words of encouragement and uplifting

I will miss you, my beautiful cousin. I will always cherish the childhood weekends we spent together. Those precious memories will remain with me for the rest of my life.

I am so grateful to have a voicemail from you that allows me to hear your sweet voice whenever I need it. I will never forget you.

Aw, so many memories that I can't even narrow down to one. I remember when she caught me and Jay doing some crazy stuff that I will not say, but best believe she tore our behinds up. She was one of the sweetest, funniest, kind of mean sometimes, but loving person I knew. I am going to miss her sending me Facebook reels and messages... Rest easy Aunt Berna... Love you

I will miss you my dear sister and know that you are happy in heaven where you always talked to me about going. Rest on and i will meet you on the other side.

First I would like to send condolences to her son & daughter. Berna was a true believer. When Berna first having alot of problems with her legs I would pick her up for church in the van. I would tell her this wheel chair is heavy and you gonna have to use the chair at church. Pretty soon you gonna be picking me up cause my back out. She would just laugh but she never missed a beat. When she got that riding scooter she was riding all over the place. She was a praying women and never lost faith. She went through the fire and she been broken but did not brake. She remember that God would never put more on her than she could bear. Heaven got an Angel. Rest Well now you can sing in the heavenly choirs with Sherri and Kevin.

My condolences to Bernas family. I attended dialysis with Berna at Davita. She was always so nice and always had a smile on her face. She always looked very elegant in her nice hats. I would also see Berna around town, she would go real fast in her chair. I’ll never forget her positive attitude, when she would come into the dialysis unit we all heard her infectious laughter. Berna was a sweet and loving person. She was a faithful servant of God. And she knew the Bible; I enjoyed the times we discussed the word of God. One of my memorable moments of her goes back to when we were young kids. Her mother Justine would bring her kids at that time up to visit my mom Grace and her children in Tallulah. During one of these visits my cousin, Berna, taught us the childhood clapping and hand-motion game and rhyme song “A Sailor Went To Sea.” My heart ♥️ is saddened by her passing but it gives me joy to know she has earned her heavenly wings, something she worked diligently for. My prayers of condolences to her children and her siblings and all the family.

Just a day your passed, I thought about our firesides and singing together. From the first day we met, you made me feel like one of your children. I have enjoyed being one of your bonus kids. To Cristi and Jay, you will be in my prayers. I love you all!

I had the privilege of knowing Berna as one of her caregivers and considered her my friend. She had such a zest for life and beautiful spirit. Even with all of her health challenges she was always so positive and happy. Her love of the Savior will always be how I remember her. I can picture happy she is being in his presence. I will miss her dearly and think of her often.

Aunt Berna’s house was always the fun place to go on the weekends. I can remember how virtually every room had a color theme to it. The living room was the green room, the first bedroom was the blue room, the second bedroom was the pink room, the main bedroom was the gold room and the kitchen was the brown room. Her house was always full of fun and love, ind I’m gonna miss her very much. Most of all, she became my dialysis coach because when I started dialysis five years ago, she helped me watch out for all of the ins and outs of it. Love you, Aunt Berna!!

Hi Cristi this is Sara I know I’m late on getting this to you. I hope the funeral was beautiful I wish I could have been there but I had to go to work Saturday my thoughts were there. I loved your mom so much I loved when she was my Senior Companion when I was out of commission and not doing very good. We loved to go to Wendy’s and have their sliders and fries and drinks for half price during happy hour. I loved how her and I used to get together every other week for Sunday dinners it was nice to know your mom I would say she was one of my best friends I like how she had a testimony in Good and her Savior Jesus Chest she was the best friend anyone could ask for. I loved her so much and I’m sad she’s passed way now but she’ll apsis be remembered in my heart my heart goes out to you and your brother God Bless you at this time! ❤️
