Kathy Munford Hadlock

Kathy was an extraordinarily thoughtful person, wanting to be right before her maker. She loved Jim and missed him greatly. What a reunion! She leaves a wonderful family and legacy.

She was a wonderful friend and neighbor. I will miss hearing from her! She will be missed! It is so hard to lose your Mother. She loved all of you very much!

I will always remember Kathy and Jim fondly when they came to over to visit my parents. Usually with Jim it was to talk Hillcrest or BYU sports with my dad. My mom used to buy things from Kathy's Avon catalogue on an almost weekly basis for more than 40 years. They used to chat for a bit each time your mom brought over the order and my mom would give her the check. Kathy continued coming each week to bring the catalogue, even after my parents' health declined, and my mom loved each time she stopped by. Kathy said it was to let my mom look through the catalogue and enjoy it without feeling obligated to order anything, but I know she really was coming to simply to chat with them and check on their well being. She was a wonderful person, and she will be missed by our family!

Dear Hadlock family, so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. What a beautiful lady, she is. Kind and gentle are etched into her countenance. Kathy Munford was a member of of the Cedar City High School Class of 1967. It was with great sadness that the class of '67 learned of her passing this week.
Kathy was respected and revered. We are honored to have walked our educational path with one so valiant. Our condolences in the loss of this great lady.

My deepest condolences to the family on the passing of Kathy. I got to know her years ago when she would visit her dear friend Carol at Sunrise of Sandy. What an amazing friend she was to Carol. Rest in peace Kathy.

Andrew, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve only known you for a few months, but in that short time I’ve come to know you as such a kind, friendly, and genuinely good person. Even though I never had the chance to meet your mother, it’s easy to see that you were raised by wonderful parents. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Please know that you can count on me for anything you need.

We met in the Sandy Library on 7th east in 1981 or 82 and spoke regularly ever since. The way she handled Jim's pre-death care was amazing. I was constantly impressed at her tenacity over the years of solving challenges. I know she is happy to be out of her downwinder body and reunion with Jim. So sorry I was too unwell to come.

So sorry for you Andrew to have lost your dear Mother. She was an amazing person and i truly enjoyed getting to know her. We have been friends for 45 years.
We enjoyed going out for Mexican food lunch during the last few years. She was amazing at genealogy and I will miss our many discussions regarding genealogy in the church. I miss her....

Kathy was a very kind and friendly neighbor. She always took time to talk to us. I will miss her homemade wassel that she shared with us every year. We are so sorry for all your loss. She will be missed.

Actually, Kathy and I met back in 1974 in our first homes on serpentine way in Sandy Utah! I had two children at the time and tried to be a good neighbor and friend as we would find ourselves watching old movies together which she loved and we visited often. We went on trips together down to Cedar city to see the plays during the fall on the campus! Cathy loved to share her experiences of her kids and Jim and since he was the history teacher at Hillcrest high for our first three children he was always interested in what the kids were doing as they grew up.
Cathy and I went to lunch often and had many gospel discussions. She was well first in the scriptures and I would share mine as well. I feel very bad that I wasn’t there when she passed away as we were in Coeur d’Alene with all our children one by one through this summer and I was unaware she was going through another Health challenge, that took her home to Heavenly Father and Jim! She will be missed.
