Robert Randall “Randy” Sutton, 63, of Xenia, OH returned home to his Heavenly Father on March 9, 2022 with his wife by his side. Randy was born on March 27, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Morley and Elizabeth Ann Sutton. Randy graduated from East High School in 1976 and went on to attend University of Utah graduating in 1983 with a degree in Finance. He was happily married to and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela “Pam” Sutton. Randy was a devoted family man and proud father of five boys; Parker Sutton (Lynsie), Nick Sutton (Ashley), Spencer Sutton (Rebecca), Tyler Sutton, Josh Sutton (Ryan). He was known and adored as Grandpa and Poppa Bink to seven grandchildren. Randy was one of five siblings; Suzanne Nowels (Michael), Robyn Sutton, George Sutton (Annie) and was preceded in death by Ward Sutton (Marie).Randy was an avid golfer and outdoorsman who loved the mountains, bird watching, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed wood working, cheering on the Utah Utes, playing catch with his lab Tonk, and could beat anyone at trivia. He was a hard worker, achieving a successful career in Fraud and Security Management with several banks, most recently with Synchrony Financial. He left a lasting impression on all those that worked for and with him. He had the rare ability to maintain and promote a calm environment even in the highest of pressure situations and was able to lighten any mood. Randy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed serving others through his many church callings. He had a servant heart; meeting everyone with kindness, grace, love and friendship. Randy meant a lot to many people and was loved by everyone that knew him. His favorite scripture was 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth”. This was a scripture personally shared to he and his boys by Thomas S. Monson.

A viewing for Randy will be held on March 22, 2022 at Larkin Sunset Lawn at 2350 E 1300 S in Salt Lake City from 6pm to 8pm. Graveside services will be held the next day, March 23, 2022 at the same location at 11am with a viewing one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make an appointment to donate blood, if able. Randy was so grateful for blood donors.

Guestbook/Condolences

Dear Pam, I was so sorry to read of your husband’s passing. I remember what a sweet, wonderful couple you and Randy were and extend my sympathy for his loss. He was much too young to leave you. If you remember me, I am your mom’,Marlene’s, cousin and dancing partner from many years ago. I lost track of you through the years as you moved away, but was happy to read of the wonderful family you and Randy shared..I am now in St . George and unable to attend the services, but would love hearing from you if possible—not many of the Rosell line still around. May the Lord”s comforting blessings be with you and yours at this difficult time. Sending my love

As kids, the Bradshaw and Sutton families spent a lot of time together and I have wonderful memories from those days. As cousins we often had fun get togethers at our Grandmother Ward's home in Ogden and our Great Grandmother Mason's pioneer home in Willard. I fondly remember spending most holidays with Randy and his brother Ward. Our Dad's also took us on Duck and Pheasant hunting trips together. Suzanne, Ward, Randy, my brothers Dan, John and I all learned to ski together and had a lot of fun every winter Saturday at Brighton. Randy was always fun to be around and being close in age to my brother John they were close friends and spent a lot of fun times together. These are great memories I will cherish forever. My condolence to Pam and their children. Randy will be missed by all.

Robyn,

I was saddened to read about Randy. What a great friend he was during those Monument Park years! He was a wonderful person, I remember looking up to him and others when they were the leaders of our youth. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear brother. Sending love and condolences.

Best,
Suellen Winegar
