Listen to Obituary
I was born, Vickie Lee Dowdle on May 26, 1947 to Lloyd Rulon “Bud” Dowdle and Zoe Jeanette Spencer Dowdle in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. My parents, younger sister and I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1950, where I was raised and graduated from Highland High School in 1965 and attended the University of Utah. Our family spent many years camping, fishing, boating, traveling and just enjoying one another. Our parents provided a wonderful family and life for us all.
I worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for many years. I married Rick Ford in 1967, later divorced. In 1979 I married Eugene “Gino” Tedesco and helped run his private club, “Gino’s”. Gino preceded me in death in 2006. Brent Parrish and I were married in 2008, later divorced. I enjoyed golf (most of the time), and met wonderful friends participating in that sport. I was a member at Hidden Valley Country Club, SLC, UT, Spanish Trail Country Club, Las Vegas, NV, and Bloomington Country Club, St. George, UT, and at each club held ladies Board positions several times, including being ladies’ president at each club at least once.
While living in Las Vegas for 20 years I was involved with the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation for Children. The annual Grand Slam Concert for Children was a wonderful experience where I met many very talented people and friends. It was a zing feeling, doing so much good for at-risk children, turning their lives around, giving them an education and an opportunity in life.
I am survived by my siblings Leslie (Lee) Teerlink, Jackie (Lynn) Marsing, Gerrie Dowdle (Dave Martin), Spencer (Sheli) Dowdle, many nieces and nephews and grands. I thank my siblings for having my kids for me. It sure made it easy for me to spoil them and send them back to their parents, I love you all. Thank you to my friends and family, you know who you are, for making my life so full. On May 3, 2026 I passed away at my home in Salt Lake City, Utah with my sister, Jackie, by my side.
I have chosen not to have a service, remember me in your own way.
